About me

Hi – I am William Lautama 

Part-time Industrial Engineering student at Bandung Institute of Technology and full-time entrepreneur in process. I am enjoying my passion in entrepreneurship, education, and technology while develop my writing and strategic planning skills.

My character is koleris-sanguinis. I love to speak out my idea and take initiative (koleris side) while communicate well with any status and enjoy working as team player or leader (sanguinis side). As an individual, people see me as dynamic, interdependent, and high-spirit man.

I have been actively involved and made impacts in every organizations or committees I joined, there were numbers of them. I did organize TEDxBandung, an elite conference (originally from USA with the spirit ‘Ideas Worth Spreading’), and seek collaboration to provide a stage for remarkable speaker about any interesting subjects. As volunteer, I was part of Young On Top Campus Ambassadors, looked for sponsorship to carry out ‘Love Donation’ the biggest blood donation event to help Indonesian Red Cross & thalassaemia foundation. I was selected as 1 of 80 students, from all over top universities in Indonesia, to join Astra 1^st program hosted by PT Astra International, Tbk. This program gave scholarship, comprehensive personality development program, learning opportunities in Astra Group, and responsibility as leader on project with qualified mentor.

I feel incredibly lucky to learn about business and technology from the best of the best while internship at General Electric, Creasionbrand, Microsoft Indonesia, and Microsoft Singapore (intern to MACH). I learned how to deal with ambiguity as my manager did not give me a clear hint about how to finish the project. When I did the project, I trained my analytical thinking and communication skill, as I had to interview employees in sales department to get insight. Moreover, my team work ability by worked together with people from diverse nationalities and cultures as my team members came from Singapore, Malaysia, and Vietnam.

Currently, I am selected as Google Ambassador of Indonesia to run and manage Google events independently while communicates closely with Googlers. I am spreading entrepreneurship spirit to Indonesian youth as ASEANpreneurs Country Ambassador while representing Indonesia to work hand-in-hand with ASEANpreneurs HQ in Singapore. I initiated social enterprise (Rokus) with my team from scratch, we are educating and empowering some families to running business with sustainability concept. Unilever awarded Rokus as ‘Best Economic Impact’ project.
